This morning I received a text message from 651-39 which claimed to be from US Bank. It gave me a number I supposedly requested so I could get into my bank account. The number to call if I didn't make a request was 866-253-1752. I did not call the number provided. Instead, I checked the number on the back of my bank card which was, of course, NOT THE SAME NUMBER!! I get so disgusted with these fiends. Why don't they get REAL jobs????Call Type: Scam

Received 5 different text messages from this number stating: US Bank Alert: 632277 is your code if you did not make this request or have questions call 866-253-1752. Other text messages gave a code of 679340, 704218. This has to be a scam!!!! I did not call the number back and no one else should either.

I made an online purchase and immediately received a text message saying "US Bank Alert" with a code and if I didn’t make this request to call 866-253-1752. I did not call them but instead called my credit card company and they agreed this was a phishing attempt. I also called the online retailer, Best Buy, to report to them that their website has been hacked. I got passed from person to person and no one at Best Buy seemed at all concerned that their website has been hacked.Call Type: Scam

Received a text message from US Bank Alert with a code and if I didn’t make this request to call I called and lady wanted my card number. She said she was with card services. I told her that I would not give her my credit card company and what bank was she authorized to call from. She could not give me that information. I gave her my full name and she had no information. She said she needed my card number, I said I have multiple cards which one are you calling about? Again, she requested my card numbers to which I said no thank you, and I would call the 800 number on the back of my card to find what the problem was. She said this was a fraud case.Call Type: Scam

This is a definite scam - they keep asking for your card info. but they give you no info. Scam 101. Sadly the person on the other end was rather convincing and well trained. I am sure many fall for this. This was not the typical scammer with a bad phone connection.Call Type: Scam
